Cosmetic Dentistry can help brighten smiles, improving self-image & self-esteem, which overall can improve patient’s lives.

Whitening

Whitening your teeth can be an inexpensive way to brighten your smile. Anything that can stain a white shirt can stain our teeth. Home whitening kits that are provided by your dentist are a popular way to whiten your teeth. Impressions are taken of your teeth so trays can be custom made fit to your mouth. The trays are used to hold the whitening material and worn for a specific amount of time until the desired whiteness is achieved.   Make an appointment with us today to see if your teeth are a candidate for whitening.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of restorative material that is bonded to the front of your tooth. A veneer is a thin layer of restorative material that is bonded to the front of your tooth. A veneer can be made of porcelain or composite resin material. Both types of veneers require removal of tooth structure before fabrication of the veneer. A porcelain veneer will resist stain better, look more like a natural tooth and will involve two appointments since the veneer is fabricated by a lab technician. A composite veneer is made of white filling material that is made chair side by your dentist. Reasons to consider veneers:

  • Permanently discolored teeth
  • Close spaces between teeth
  • Repair chipped or broken teeth
  • To change the shape or length of teeth

Veneers can be a great solution to changing your smile permanently. They do involve routine care just as your natural teeth do. If you have any more questions or would like to schedule an appointment please contact our office.

White Fillings

White fillings are made of glass or quartz fillers and are usually referred to as a composite filling.White fillings are made of glass or quartz fillers and are usually referred to as a composite filling. They are a reliable and durable alternative to a silver filling. Reasons a tooth may need a composite filling is to fix a tooth that has been damaged by decay or has a fracture.

When placing composite fillings the dentist is able to reduce less tooth structure when preparing the tooth for the filling compared to placing a silver filling. Composite fillings are placed in one appointment and usually require anesthetic.
